I chose to study A level Chemistry because I find the subject both fascinating and a challenge. I was really keen to develop my knowledge and understanding gained from the GCSE course, particularly in the areas of organic chemistry. The course has developed my analytical and problem-solving skills, whilst giving me a deeper understanding of how the world works. The teachers have all been really supportive and also make the subject fun and interactive. They are always available to answer any questions and give extra help if needed.
I love that Godalming is a large college, with lots of diversity. It’s been a great opportunity to meet lots of different people, make new friends and prepare for university life. All the staff are friendly and supportive and there’s always someone to talk to if you need it.
I joined the aspire programme for support and help with my Oxbridge application. The sessions helped me to submit the strongest application I could, and the teacher worked really closely with me in developing my personal statement. The programme also gave practical advice about interview techniques, including a practice interview with a past student. I would definitely recommend joining aspire to give you the best chance at a successful Oxbridge outcome.
